Feed Me: “And in your darkest hour, I hold secrets flame, We can watch the world devoured in it’s pain”

So the new Watchmen trailer was released with opening of the The Dark Knight:

Within 5 seconds of watching it, boyfriend immediately informed me that the song in the background is “The Beginning Is The End Is The Beginning” by the Smashing Pumpkins which was previously released on the Batman and Robin soundtrack and they won a Grammy for the companion track, “The End Is The Beginning Is The End.”

for some reason I find this weird music video more entertaining than the trailer, it might have something to do with that amazing laser guitar. I want it.

Overall, I am too big of a fan of the comic and Alan Moore to really get behind the Watchmen movie (although I do have to admit that it was the best trailer out of the 50 they showed before Dark Knight). All I can hope that the movie will convince people to check out the original comic. Even reading it as a collected graphic novel hinders the intended reading experience, but I guess I’m just a purist. I wish there were more original screenplays instead of crappy adaptations of stories that weren’t intended for a other mediums. I’m also really surprised and disappointed to see that you can pre-order Watchmen action figures on Wizard’s site after what happened last time DC proposed to release figures.. :\
