Feed Me: All Star Superman

Sometimes my long box gets hungry and I have to feed it comics.

what have I been feeding it lately? Why only everyone’s favorite Eisner Award winning series.. All Star Superman

Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely are one of my favorite creative teams and I have loved this series from issue 1 back in 2005. The first volume of the trade is already available and the final issue of the 12 issue series is scheduled for release on August 20th. At first I wasn’t sure if I would like Frank Quitely’s interpretation of Superman, but I have been continually blown away by the artwork of this series. I absolutely love his splash pages. Simply gorgeous:

The plot: Lex Luthor has finally done it. He has found a way to kill Superman using the very thing that gives him power: the Sun. Throughout this series Superman has had to come to terms with his own death as well as face 12 super-challenges. I can’t wait to see how this epic story ends, will Lex Luthor finally triumph over Superman? or will Superman become Ian Malcolmy and always find a way? Check it out.
